1952 Egyptian Revolution and Nasser’s Leadership from Eric Hoffer’s Perspective

As part of ISAR Research Center’s Thesis Presentations series, Mehmet Çetinkaya’s thesis titled “1952 Egyptian Revolution and Nasser’s Leadership from Eric Hoffer’s Perspective” will be heard. In his presentation on his thesis, Çetinkaya will discuss how Eric Hoffer’s theories of mass movements can be examined through the example of the 1952 Egyptian Revolution, especially through the connections between Gamal Abdel Nasser’s leadership qualities and these theories, and will analyze both the psychological and ideological dynamics of revolutionary movements.

Mehmet Çetinkaya graduated from Marmara University, Department of Political Science and International Relations in 2021. He earned his master’s degree in the same field at 29 Mayıs University in 2024 by successfully defending his thesis titled “1952 Egyptian Revolution and Nasser’s Leadership from Eric Hoffer’s Perspective”.
