Literature Talks-13: Methexis/Mimesis Dilemma in Plato’s Thought

The thirteenth session of ISAR Research Center’s Literature Talks series, which focuses on how the literature in various fields has developed today, will focus on Plato. In this session, Oğuz Haşlakoğlu will make a presentation focusing on methexis and mimesis in Plato’s thought.

Oğuz Haşlakoğlu received his bachelor’s degree in Painting from Mimar Sinan University in 1991 and his master’s degree in 1993. In 2003, Haşlakoğlu received his Proficiency in Art degree in Painting from the same university. He also holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Boğaziçi University. Currently working as an associate professor at Istanbul Technical University, Haşlakoğlu continues his studies in the fields of basic design, visual arts, philosophy of art and aesthetics.
