Literature Talks-5: Quantitative Sociology
The fifth session of ISAR Research Center’s Literature Talks series, which focuses on how the literature in various fields has developed today, will focus on quantitative sociology. In this session, Asst. Prof. Zübeyir Nişancı will make a presentation on the main topics and recent developments in the field of quantitative sociology.
Asst. Prof. Nişancı received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Boğaziçi University in 2003. He continued his graduate studies abroad and received his master’s degree from Hartrford Seminary (2007) and his PhD degree from Loyola University Chicago (2015). Currently working as a faculty member at Marmara University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Sociology, Nişancı’s academic research interests include quantitative methods, sociology of religion and migration.
