The seventh session of the Literature Talks series, which is organized by ISAR Research Center and aims to introduce researchers to current debates in their fields, will be held. In this session, Prof. Mehmet Bulgen will make a presentation on the main topics and recent developments in the field of kalām.

Prof. Bulgen graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Theology in 2003. He completed his master’s degree at the same university with a thesis titled “Evaluation of the Verses Related with Reincarnation” in the Department of Theology (2005). Bulgen, who also worked as a teacher for a while, received his PhD degree in the same field with his dissertation titled “Evaluation of Classical Period Kalām Atomism in the Viewpoint of Contemporary Cosmology” (2012). Since 2012, Bulgen has been working as a professor at Marmara University Faculty of Theology, Department of Theology and continues his research in the fields of religion-science relationship and cosmology.
