Literature Talks-9: Ottoman Historiography
The ninth session of the ISAR Research Center’s Literature Talks series, which focuses on how the literature in various fields has developed today, will focus on Ottoman historiography. In this session, Prof. Gökhan Çetinsaya will present the latest developments in the field of Ottoman historiography.
Prof. Çetinsaya graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences in 1985. Having completed his master’s degree at the same faculty, Çetinsaya received his PhD degree from the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Manchester in 1994. Çetinsaya, who also served as the president of the Council of Higher Education for a period, continues his academic studies as a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at 29 Mayıs University. His research interests include Ottoman and Middle Eastern history and politics.
