As part of the İhtisas Talks series, Mohammad Fadel from the University of Toronto will give a talk on Islamic law studies in the West. Fadel received his BA from the University of Virginia (1988) and his PhD from the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Chicago (1995). Fadel, who also holds a JD, is currently a professor at the University of Toronto and continues his research in the field of Islamic law.
