We will host Prof. Dr. Mustafa İsmet Uzun in the conference series organized within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 3501 project Sociocultural, Historical and Religious Dimensions of Sultantepe Uzbekler Tekke supported by ISAR Research Center. In this program, Uzun will talk about his experiences at Özbekler Tekkesi when he was a unviersity student.

Prof. Dr. Uzun graduated from Istanbul Higher Institute of Islam (1974) and Istanbul University Faculty of Literature Department of Turkish Language and Literature (1977). He completed his doctorate at the Istanbul Higher Institute of Islam (1981). He started working as a research assistant at Marmara University Department of Theology and continued at the same institution until his retirement as a faculty member. His academic studies are mainly on Islamic Turkish literature.
