We will host Prof. Dr. Süleyman Beyoğlu in the conference series organized within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 3501 project Sociocultural, Historical and Religious Dimensions of Sultantepe Özbekler Tekkesi supported by ISAR Research Center. In this program, Beyoğlu will talk about the activities in Özbekler Tekkesi during the War of Independence.

Prof. Dr. Beyoğlu graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Department of History in 1984. He completed his master’s degree at the same university and department (1986). He received his PhD degree from Marmara University Institute of Turkic Studies, Department of History of the Modern Era (1990). He is currently a faculty member at Marmara University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History.
