The Argument for the Absence of Evidence in Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī
Within the scope of ISAR Research Center’s Thesis Presentations series, Furkan Kayacan’s thesis titled “The Argument for the Absence of Evidence: The Structure of the Argument for the Absence of Evidence in Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī and Its Criticism as a Method of Inference” will be heard. In his presentation of his thesis, Kayacan will explain how Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī approaches and analyzes the argument of the absence of evidence.
Furkan Kayacan graduated from Marmara University International Theology Program. He completed his master’s degree in Islamic philosophy at Istanbul Medeniyet University by defending his thesis titled “The Argument for the Absence of Evidence: The Structure of the Argument for the Absence of Evidence in Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī and Its Criticism as a Method of Explication” in 2024. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in Islamic philosophy at Istanbul Medeniyet University.
