As part of the Ihtisas Talks series, we welcome Şener Aktürk from Koç University. Aktürk graduated from the University of Chicago in 2003 with a double major in Political Science and International Studies. He received his first master’s degree from the same university and his second master’s degree and PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009. Aktürk is currently a faculty member at the Department of International Relations at Koç University, where he started working after his PhD. His research focuses on religion and nationalism.
