Hegel’s Logic

Summary

The content of this course is the historical and systematic reading of Hegel’s Encyclopedia of Philosophical Sciences 1, The Science of Logic (Enzyklopädie der philosophischen Wissenschaften 1, Wissenschaft der Logik), from the perspective of metaphysical problems. Our first aim in the course is to see how Hegel, through dialectical thinking, discusses and criticizes the answers given before him for metaphysical problems, but does not stop there and tries to give positive answers to them through speculative thinking. Ultimately, our main aim is to reason about what it means to look at metaphysical problems from a Hegelian perspective today.
