Knowledge and Society

The aim of this reading group is to closely examine the sociocultural dimensions of the construction, critique, transmission, dissemination, and elimination of various forms of knowledge, both in modern science specifically and across different periods of history more broadly. The readings will consist of foundational theoretical works in the field as well as historical and contemporary research. Planned to span two terms, the reading group is designed with the possibility of evolving into a workshop focused on a more specific topic, depending on the interests and inclinations of the participants.
