The Workshop on the Problem of the Beginning of History in Islamic Sources

This workshop, designed to span two terms, will explore the narratives of Muslim historians, philosophers, and mystics concerning the creation of the world and the universe, from early Islamic history to the late Ottoman period. It will also catalog materials related to the beginning of world history and present various perspectives on this subject.
