International Law Working Group

The International Law Working Group is an interdisciplinary academic community that addresses a wide spectrum of issues emerging in both public international law and private international law. Frameworked from historical issues to current developments, the group concerns itself with the Treaty of Lausanne through the lens of international law, Turkey’s approach to legal policy, the principles of Islamic law of war, the legal dimensions of climate change, the effectiveness of international organizations and society, decolonization, and other topics within the law of nations.

The working group does not limit itself to discussing these issues solely on a theoretical level; it also focuses on concrete legal challenges faced by states and international actors. Through the meticulous analysis of current disputes and legal uncertainties, it aims to produce evaluations that will contribute to both legal practice and policy-making.
