Participation Finance Legislation Working Group

The Participation Finance Legislation Working Group is an academic community that examines the participation finance sector from a regulatory framework perspective and aims to produce solutions to legislation-related problems in this field. The group progressively addresses participation banking, participation insurance (takaful), and savings finance systems operating under the umbrella of participation finance; in the initial phase, it focuses on the comprehensive identification and classification of regulatory challenges within the field of participation banking.

The group's work is based on the principle of transforming identified problems into research topics. To this end, the current situation in Turkey, the root causes of the problems, and their reflections on practice are examined in detail. The issues are further deepened in both theoretical and practical dimensions through seminars and interviews conducted with experienced professionals in the field. Furthermore, by adopting a comparative approach that considers the experiences of other countries, the group aims to evaluate the applicability of solutions brought to similar challenges in our country and to develop proposals that will bring operational efficiency to participation finance legislation.
