DESCRIPTION:<p><span>The sixth session of ISAR Research Center\'s series Literature Talks, which focuses on how literature in various fields has developed today, will focus on Ottoman book culture. In this session, Prof. Dr. Berat Açıl will present the main topics and recent developments in the field of Ottoman book culture.</span></p>

<p><span>Prof. Dr. Açıl graduated from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 2002. During his graduate studies at the same university, he received his master\'s (2005) and doctorate (2010) degrees. Currently working as a faculty member at Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education, Açıl\'s academic research interests include narratology, verse &amp; prose and Ottoman book culture.</span></p>
