Both in Ottoman madrasas and today’s classical institutions which follow the classical Arabic education method, Arabic education begins with the science of sarf, and the science of sarf begins with the book of Emsile and continues with the book of Binā. Many commentaries have been made on Binā, which is one of the short works as an introduction to the science of sarf. However, the studies on Binā in our age are quite limited and insufficient. The fact that this work was one of the first works taught in madrasas and some institutions that teach Arabic in the classical method shows that it still retains its importance today. For this reason, it is obvious that there is a need for a work similar to the commentaries in the Ottoman period and to convey the information in them. Considering this need, a scholarly/academic study was initiated by a group of scholars. This work, which emerged as a product of this study, has set the main goal of preparing a similar work to the commentaries on Binā written in Arabic or Ottoman Turkish during the Ottoman period in today’s Turkish and in accordance with today’s educational understanding.
