ISAR organized the Ulûm-i Tabîiyye Symposium in the Ottoman Empire, the tenth in a series of symposiums on Sciences in the Ottoman Empire. Emphasizing that nature is at the center of human curiosity to know and understand in the Islamic tradition of thought, a wide range of researches from the structure of objects to the principles of motion, from elements to living things were discussed in depth. In this context, how Ottoman scholars inherited the Islamic tradition of natural sciences and which works and methods they made original contributions to this accumulation were discussed in detailed presentations. New perspectives on the Ottoman natural sciences heritage were tried to be developed with the presentations of esteemed scholars from different fields.
