Exploring the Memory of Ottoman Law: The Digitization of Fatwa Collections
The Research Center is digitizing fatwa collections (fetva mecmuaları), which stand as primary sources of Ottoman legal history. A total of 42 fatwa collections dating from the 16th to the 20th centuries are undergoing processes of transcription, collation, and editing. They will be made accessible on a digital platform offering AI-supported search functionalities.

The Influence of Ta‘lîm al-Muta‘allim in the Islamic Tradition of Authorship
The workshop titled "The Influence of Ta‘lîm al-Muta‘allim in the Islamic Tradition of Authorship," organized in collaboration with the ISAR Research Center and Istanbul Medeniyet University, was successfully held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Ozbekler Tekke. The event provided an in-depth examination of the historical and pedagogical impacts of Burhanuddin al-Zarnuji’s classical work on Islamic education and scholarly traditions. Featuring presentations by esteemed academics and drawing significant interest from participants, the workshop was concluded with great success.
